Welcome to our next city in the places category here at Immensely Social… Atlanta, Georgia! Last time we hit Charlotte, NC. We’re sticking with that Southern Charm, but throwing in some attractions I adore and of course, baseball! The point of this series is to highlight cities that are fun for freelancers and entrepreneurs to work in. So, what does Atlanta have to offer us working Millennials? Great cafes and world-class sophistication that’s what!
Some of my best memories hanging out on the East Coast happened in this city. You can find the official online guide to Atlanta here.

Welcome to Atlanta- A City of Success!
The voiceover is from an excerpt of a rare PBS documentary of Steve Jobs filmed in 1990:
When you grow up, you tend to get told the world is the way it is, and your life is just to live your life inside the world…Try not to bash into the walls too much…try to have a nice family, have fun,… save a little money.
That’s a very limited life.
Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you…. and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
The minute that you understand that you can poke life and that if you push in, something will pop out the other side. you can change it. you can mold it. that’s maybe the most important thing. is to shake off this erroneous notion that life is there and you’re just going to live it, versus embrace it, change it, improve it, make your market on it.
Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.
I adore cities that inspire you to expand and follow your dreams!
So, what’s there to do?

Great post – I loved the clips you paired with the voice over and it’s really inspiring to actually realize that everything was created by people just like us and that we do indeed have that same kind of power if we choose to harness it and make something out of it.
